What We Do

Safe Kids PA, Lycoming County Partner was organized in 1998 as an active task force of the Lycoming County Health Improvement Coalition, Inc.. Celebrating over 20 years of promoting injury prevention for children ages infant to 19 years, Safe Kids works all year to prevent unintentional childhood injuries, the NUMBER ONE cause of death for children in the United States.

How to Get Involved

LISTEN to our twice monthly public service announcements on Backyard Broadcasting stations. Community and agency representatives present community education and safety tips on everyday issues and practices
JOIN our Safe Kids Task Force and attend our monthly meetings!
SUPPORT with a donation to help us sustain the number of equipment provided to the public like bike helmets, child safety seats smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors.
WHO IS ON THE TASK FORCE? Safe Kids PA members staff from the Lycoming County Coroner’s Office, UPMC Susquehanna, AmeriHealth Caritas, PennDot, Pa Department of Health, Lycoming County Department of Public Services , Step Inc., LCHIC, Cooperative Extension, Office of District Attorney, and Nurse Family Partnership.
