Youth Development Task Force

What We Do

“The Youth Development Task Force (YDTF) purpose is to continuously support, monitor, work and raise awareness on mental and physical health and safety issues of Lycoming County youth.” – MISSION
The Youth Development Task Force developed in 1998 is a vibrant task force of the Lycoming County Health Improvement Coalition, Inc. LCHIC organized in 1994 is a grassroots organization dedicated to improving the health status of Lycoming County by identifying and facilitating innovative and evidence-based programs to improve health, safety and wellness programs.

How to Get Involved

YDTF is comprised of student representatives from the nine Lycoming County school districts (East Lycoming, Muncy, Montgomery, Montoursville, Loyalsock, South Williamsport, Williamsport Area, Jersey Shore and St John Neumann) for over 7000 students.

YDTF 2020-2021 campaign is “Find Your Worth” supporting positive mental health messages to all school students.

Attend, Participate, and Support YDTF Events

1. Social Media: Mission – To raise awareness surrounding our goal of a healthier youth population in Lycoming County through the use of social media
2. Research: Mission – To continuously monitor and validate data derived from various reliable primary data sources regarding the mental, physical, and spiritual health of the Lycoming County youth.
3. Special Events: Mission – To continuously support, attend, and plan community events to spread messages that bring awareness to supporting a healthier youth population within Lycoming County.
4. Marketing & Outreach: Mission – To continually work to gain support from the community to reach our goal of a healthier youth population in Lycoming County.
