2011FitnessChallengeStockThe fitness challenge is aimed at getting kids to exercise more and awards points to kids at the rate of one point for one minute of physical activity, with double points if a student exercises with a parent. This program involved more than a dozen school districts.

This year they added a fruits and veggies component where students can earn points for eating healthier snacks and at meal times. Children learned fitness and nutrition is as important to success in school and in life.
